Description
The desk mat edition of Cartoon City Skyline with Food has a rubber base.
The scene centres on a helmeted figure at left-center, eating from heaps of fruit, vegetables, burgers and pizza that spill across the lower foreground. Above the food, a cartoon skyline rises under a cream sky, where smoke curls between buildings and strawberries float. The digital illustration uses charcoal grey and mustard yellow beside sage green and strawberry red.
A desk in a kitchen nook suits this piece, since its subject is food that matches planning meals or writing shopping lists. A cafe counter works too, where the cheerful, crowded scene gives regulars something to look at. Its bright, busy look appeals to people who like a playful piece.
