Description
Couple Profiles on Newspaper is made to order on a mug.
Black strokes and brushwork shape the two faces, which almost touch at the centre of a landscape layout. Behind them, fragments of print in cream and ochre fill the background with a worn texture. The overall feel is quiet and nostalgic, with warm grey tones keeping the scene calm.
On a studio desk, the two profiles give a steady, low-key image to glance at through the day. Beside a reading nook, the centred faces and soft paper tones suit slow, unhurried work. In a cafe corner, a desk print would still hold attention without pulling it away.
