Description
The desk mat edition of Domed City over Teal Waters has a rubber base.
The scene centers on a large stepped building with a green-tinted dome, placed right of center. Its clock-like circles stand out against deep navy, while coral orange fish swim below the waterline. Airships and clouds fill the sky above a city built on a teal sea. The worn, cream-edged paper surface adds a soft, old-fashioned warmth.
A desk in a study works well for this piece, since the navy and orange tones stay clear during a workday. It suits someone who spends long hours at a workstation and wants a steady image nearby. The skyline stays in sight across the surface, so the scene is easy to glance at.
