Description
The wall tapestry edition of Gothic Town Street at Dusk has hemmed edges.
Dark timber-framed houses line an empty street, and its spires rise into a thin haze. Red lanterns sit in windows and doorways, and the wet pavement mirrors their light. Its palette runs through deep crimson, charcoal black, dusky rose and muted slate. The mood is moody and gloomy, with the scene receding toward the centre.
A bedroom works well for this one. Hang it on a narrow wall where the tall cathedral spires can run up the height of the space, with the street receding toward them.
