Description
The canvas print edition of House on Floating Island has a pine frame.
The scene is a small house with a red roof, set on a grassy island above a river that swirls in green and gray. Golden cliffs frame the water. A large cloud, tinged with pink, hangs in the sky above the house. A few orbs drift nearby, and pale mountains sit at the edges. Soft oil-painting brushwork gives the whole picture a muted, old-fashioned finish.
A studio wall suits this scene, since the muted greens and slate tones make a calm backdrop for a working space. A reading nook also fits, where the centered house and cloud can hold attention during quiet hours. The composition keeps the main shapes near the middle, so the picture carries well across a room.
