Description

Smoking Cat with Maple Leaves is made to order on a desk mat.

This digital illustration places the cat’s face right of center, with foliage on the left and bottom. Behind it sit a red sun disc marked with pseudo-characters and a pale misty mountain. The cream and gray backdrop carries mustard splashes. Overall, the palette is restrained, and the mood reads as moody and playful at once.

A cafe desk suits this scene because the image stays in view through long stretches of work. In a living room, a spot by the window gives the picture a steady place to be seen each day. Its amber gaze and the gray background give the workspace a bit of character.
