Description
Steampunk City Street is made to order on a mouse pad.
Brass spheres, balconies, pipes and gears decorate tall ornate buildings on either side of the road. The digital illustration uses sepia brown, warm tan and muted gold, with dark bronze detail and a pale grey-blue sky over the distant city. The view is one-point perspective, so the eye travels down the middle of the picture. The mood is nostalgic and whimsical.
A workshop bench suits this print because its gears and pipes match the tools and parts kept near it. Anyone who works through a workday can glance up at the tram passengers and cloudy sky, a light detail to return to. Placed where daily use keeps it in reach, the one-point view draws the eye down the street again.
