Description
You can order Surreal Staircase with Dripping Forms on a desk mat, with a rubber base.
The picture shows a diagonal stair rising through a strange landscape of bubbly, porous growths. Burnt orange and crimson sit low, while deep violet and grey-blue fill the upper field. Charcoal black marks the edges, and pooling shapes cover the bottom. The mood is dreamlike and eerie, with a bright opening at the middle of the background.
A studio desk suits this image, since the center stays bright and draws the eye while the staircase gives a clear line to follow. Anyone who sketches or reviews drafts at a worktable all day will see the picture often. Its odd, dripping shapes break up plain surroundings.
