Description
With hemmed edges, Zombie Painting a Portrait is printed as a wall tapestry.
The figure sits left of center, holding a brush to a canvas on the right. Its tattered cap and rotting features are echoed in the painted face on the canvas. Dark green and muted teal fill the murky background, while pale sage, rust red and ochre yellow pick out the tones of the wooden easel. The overall feel is eerie and macabre.
On a studio wall, this suits an image of a painter at work, since a brush and paints are already in the scene. Its glowing gaze stands out against a room full of art supplies. The dark tones read best where light is low, so a dim corner suits it.
